SuperGen Announces Orathecin(TM) as New 'Brand Name' for Rubitecan

DUBLIN, California, March 7, 2002

SuperGen Inc. announced today that rubitecan, the company's oral anticancer compound that has completed enrollment in Phase III clinical testing as a treatment for pancreatic cancer, will now be called Orathecin(TM), effective immediately.
